The Bengal Annual lacked steel plate engravings of the detail offered in The Oriental Annual, which focused on scenes that included the exotic and eroticized "other" such as this detailed engraving of a women selling fruit which is also the title page for this volume. Engravings from the 1830 Bengal Annual are difficult to find; my students found them through the Internet Archive as a flat pdf version - see "The Bengal Annual: A Digital Exploration - Engravings"
