Description
The opening pages of the first Forget Me Not, as with all literary annuals in England and America, invite reader participation and encourage gift-giving with a presentation plate and tissue guard. The engraving itself includes the year and title of the annual as well as four lines to guide the writer’s hand. Encircled in a wreath, the inscription space mimics a tapestry onto which the inscriber will position himself or herself to be woven into the text (from Harris' Forget Me Not: The Rise of the British Literary Annual)
