The Book Club of California is a nonprofit, member and donor-supported organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of the book and the book arts, oftentimes with a focus on the literature and history of California and the West.

The Book Club publishes limited edition books, a scholarly journal, and Keepsakes. We host a year-round series of exhibitions and programs like this one - on topics including fine printing, design, typography, bookbinding, collecting, and more.

If you are not a member or if your membership has lapsed - and you are interested in what we do - please consider joining our century-long tradition. Membership dues are modest; the benefits are many. We simply cannot do what we do without the support of our members.
